Italian shoemaker Antonio Meccariello, of Napoli, has recently created a very cool museum effect of his own with his “wine-pigment” patinas as shown on some of his latest creations on Instagram.
You find the majority if this work done of the waists of his shoe’s soles but it would also appear that he sometimes does it on the upper as well. I can imagine this being a very popular request by his customers as it is quite a unique look and sets itself apart from other “museum effects.”
Antonio continues to push new boundaries with his creations and it is no wonder how quickly he created a cult-like following and has done quite well for himself. This boot below testifies to the great ideas he comes up with and I look forward to one day trying a pair for myself.
In the meanwhile, I shall leave it all to you to order a pair or two and share the feedback!
