Warning: I am about to go on a rant. For those not interested in my thoughts, refrain from continuing.
So, it’s Sunday (my only day off, EVER), it’s the 3rd day of Autumn and of course it’s raining here in London. Now, I am not disappointed by the rain, on the contrary, it’s quite refreshing as I am ready to start layering it up in the clothing department. I already have my eye on a double-breasted overcoat (pictured below) from Gieves & Hawkes A/W 2012 collection that I think I will treat myself to as I have been working so hard this past year and half. So needless to say, I am excited to pull the trigger on that, as it is one of those pieces that you could pass down to your children if looked after properly. Never had I really had one of those before, at least not in clothing….only in my shoe collection.
So you might be wondering what inspired me to write on my supposed ‘family’ day. Well, first and foremost, my wife is away visiting her family, which means I am left to myself and my thoughts and therefore have no needs to fulfill…..Secondly, I am quite bored, but mainly procrastinating on the cleaning/tidying/laundry etc. that I need to do (not looking forward to any of it!)….and thirdly because I really haven’t done a “What I Am Wearing” post for quite some time now and figured you all might want to looking at some more blurry photos 🙂
While I won’t really go into my outfit, as it’s nothing too crazy, I will say that while many of you have heard this before, things are soon going to start taking off. It’s been such a long journey, one that seems as if it will never end, and yet I am so close to the climatic point, being able to taste it, just not yet touch it…..My shoes “SHOULD” hopefully be done within a week and then all I need to do is knock out all of the financial side, which should be quite straightforward. I WILL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT I HAVE ACQUIRED A PLACE TO LAUNCH MY LINE FROM. This, for me, is the greatest thing that I could have asked for as it will allow me to be there to sell my shoes directly to you, personally! This should take place Feb/March 2013, so be ready!!!
Anyway, as always I just want to thank everyone that has been dedicated to my blog, my dreams, and my journey getting there. I truly appreciate the loyalty, the support and the inspiration that all of you give me to continue on, no matter how hard the journey gets. I promise I won’t let you down!
Well, I hope that all of you enjoy the rest of your Sunday and stay tuned tomorrow as I get back into my idea of becoming a shoe designer…..
Sincerely,
Justin, “The Shoe Snob”
