While Summer is still technically something we can claim for 6 more days, on a weather and style basis it is over, and many brands are now preparing and launching their products for the A/W season that is upon us. Crockett and Jones, as you can see here have added some new things to the mix, like that pair of roughed up blue chelsea boots, a v-shaped gore on the beetle boot, the new highlighted wing cap, brouged double monk, the black suede single monk (very happy to see black suede being made!), the austerity wing tip and my favorite, the brown suede Westbourne. It’s a solid A/W release for which I am sure that they will do very well on many of the models, particularly the brown grain Conniston which is clearly a winner for the Autumn/Winter season, one that I believe will be quite rough this year. Going retail was the smartest thing C&J ever did and I truly believe that it is paying off for the shoe company. Historically they were always a big UK brand. Now they are a big world brand and more and more people are getting to know them that would have otherwise not, particularly in the USA.
It will be curious to see what happens when the website actually becomes functional and you can place orders off of it. Big time sales for C&J says I!
hey Colin. No worries, I understand. Yes, the loafers were our old Madison model in Forest Green suede. Glad that you like. Trunk show was nice. Could have had more space, but this is not always easy to find in London.
