Yesterday, I wrote a newsletter to all of my subscribers to my shoe brand, J.FitzPatrick Footwear, thanking them for all of their support and it dawned on me that much of my success and where I am today lies in the support of my blog readers, my ‘day-one’ supporters that have been with me for 11 years now supporting my ideas, my journey and even becoming my customers. And even if you are new here, thank you anyway for reading and helping to keep my spirit alive in building an industry that I care about.
After sending out daily marketing emails, I realized that it had been a while since I expressed my gratitude to the people that make it all possible, to all of you. As I firmly believe in the idea of embracing gratitude in our lives and expressing that as much as possible to the people you are grateful for, I wanted to dedicate a post to all of you who continue to read my blog in a time of ‘Instagram and TikTok’ and who also help make my shoe brand, J.FitzPatrick, continue to succeed through shoe purchases. It really means a lot and every now and then, I need to say so.
It has been an interesting 18 months, to say the least, with a lot of ups and downs, but through it all, you continued to loyally support me throughout the turmoil and helped to keep my blog and brand moving forward. And for that, I will be forever grateful.
This past year and a half has taught me a lot. It made me work harder, work smarter and refocus my desires and ambitions. I have a lot of big plans coming to enhance the blog and my brand. In fact, over the last 9 months, I have been upgrading the site, although for about 6 months there were weekly issues due to server problems. All getting resolved now and the blog is now back and better than ever in terms of functionality and being able to find my ‘old gem’ articles.
I have also decided to stop being stubborn and learn to use and make more video content, so do make sure to also subscribe to my YouTube channel, if you have not already. I will be making more posts there and I won’t be able to also make all of them as a post here.
It is thanks to all of you that I have made it this far in my journey in the shoe world, with a shop in Soho, NYC, and daily sales to ship out my shoes to people across the planet as well as continued visitors to my blog in search of shoe knowledge. With every subscriber to my blog and sale in my shoe brand, I feel proud and it makes me happy to know that people appreciate what I have created. And even if you have yet to purchase a pair of shoes, just knowing that you support me, my blog, my story, and my vision means the world to me.
Thank you for keeping my dreams alive. And thank you for helping me succeed in my career.
This is all I wanted to say
-Justin FitzPatrick
p.s. around 7pm Eastern Standard Time, the blog’s server is getting upgraded so there might be some downtime.
All the best, from the bottom of my heart, Justin. May your dreams come true and EU-US tax free trade agreement come into force 😉
Thank you Dominik! And yes, I hope that will come soon!
