The Highway Shoe by Victor Vulpe is a great example of what makes Victor one of the greatest minds in the shoemaking industry. His creativity in pattern-making is impressive and inspiring. So much so that this shoe actually inspired Paolo Scafora to make an oxford version of this ‘highway shoe style’. When looking at this shoe, it is hard not to see the famous Los Angeles freeway design which I am sure inspired Victor to create it. Surely, you have seen it!
I cannot imagine the difficulty imposed by the pattern. Not to mention the upper stitching, which is flawless. I love this aspect of shoemaking. New, unique design always intrigues me and Victor is defying normality as of late with bold interpretations of the shoe. I am often excited to see what he creates for our Bespoke Shoemaking Competition held each year at the London Super Trunk Show. Sadly, after reaching 2nd place last year, he said he would take a break. Hopefully, it is only for this year and he will return in 2025!
Victor Vulpe is based out of Romania and runs his business mainly off of Facebook and Instagram. Victor is a great guy so dealing with him should always be a pleasure, even if remotely. His highway shoe is a testament to great shoemaking and I am always excited to see his latest design. Flipping through his social media channels will allow you to see his unique style of shoemaking and avant-garde interpretations.

Is it possible to get products from Bangladesh.
Justin FitzPatrick
I am sure most shoemakers will ship to Bangladesh if UPS, DHL or FedEx arrive there
