Asia is all of the rage these days for quality?shoemaking. They have impressive bespoke?makers coming from mainland China and Singapore, and RTW makers on par with many European factories coming out of SE Asia, specifically Taiwan and now Indonesia. The latest ones that I have come to discover, are Winson Shoemaker out of Indonesia who seem to make a very well made welted shoe (not sure if Goodyear or Hand). Curious to see where else other makers will start sprouting from. The only issue is the saturation of the market. Lots of choices now for the customers, from all countries of the world. But as each shoemaker comes out, many other makers have a tough time surviving in a very competitive market. I guess only the strong shall survive!
Nice shoes indeed… in a saturated landscape, yes. Going back to small markets? Who knows…
