I have really been digging braided shoes lately so much so that I will introduce them into my shoe line in the very near future. But the best ones that I have ever seen are these ones by Japanese bespoke shoemaker, TYE. This pair is simply flawless, beyond flawless even. I love the braided topline piping that goes into the facing. I have never seen anything like that and think that it is a very smart and beautiful touch of brilliant detail. And while this wouldn’t be good for going to the office, I could see this shoe being used for just about every other occasion outside a strict business setting. For me, it also makes the plain toe derby (what I find to be boring) actually quite exciting looking. And that’s not easy to do for a plain toe derby. So well done to TYE for continuing to make some of the most intriguing shoes around!
