So, as you can imagine, I get a lot of emails asking me to write about so so’s product on the blog. A lot of it makes me think that the person writing me didn’t even have the courtesy (or decency) to look at my blog before writing me up, as just to make sure that their product would be even remotely interesting to my audience (or to myself even). The best is when people write me using the words high-quality, hand made dress shoes and then I go to the link that they provide and I see glued soled crap for £99….that really does my head in as I find it quite insulting. One thing is having a job and doing it, another is spamming people for the sake of it!
That being, a few weeks ago, I received an email about this new insole, called Tailored for Taylor with the offer of sending me a trial tester. Firstly, I loved the name, and thought that it was so clever and catchy, and secondly, thought that it was a great idea. What they offer is an insole that provides the arch support that Chuck Taylor’s (by Converse) lack. As I have flat feet and Chuck Taylor’s have virtually no arch support, I find myself with sore feet after wearing them for too long. And they (along with Vans) are one of my favorite casual, Sunday shoes. So needless to say, I was excited to try them out. I went to the site, and the options of colors are a bit wild if I am going to be honest…being that I wasn’t really a fan of any of them (but not that it really matters as no one sees them), I decided to be patriotic and go for the American flag ones…..
After receiving them, asking for the one that goes with a UK7 (US8), I found that they were a little bit too big. Luckily you are able to cut them to size should this happen to you. Once cut down, I tested them out and found them to be quite comfortable and supporting. It definitely was something that I personally needed for my low volume flat feet and should you suffer from my same problem, they might be good for you too!
