I have always been curious as to the making of a John Lobb Paris bespoke shoe and just recently my curiosity managed to get fulfilled as a customer just so happened to have a pair that he wanted shined. A lovely pair at that, so needless to say, I was quite excited to shine them up and see how they would turn up. The leather was superb, the making was flawless and as you would expect, John Lobb Paris stands up to the name of a brilliant shoemaker whose standards remain high! Because they were so lovely, and unique too, I knew that all of you would love to see them as well. I am always happy to see a spectator (co-respondent) in a new color way and while I might never think to put burgundy and black together, I found it to be quite intriguing, particularly after I put some life into the burgundy bits. If money was not an option, I would love to make a full brogue like this and try to come up with every color option that I could think of and then create it….if things go well with the shoe line, I just might do this as a fun project…..I am such a shoe freak it’s scary sometimes. Anyway, I hope that everyone is doing well and has a lovely weekend and I will see you again back on Monday for the long post.

I will be putting up the shoe shine contestants pictures tonight so be on the look out to cast your votes.

All the best,

-Justin, “The Shoe Snob”
