Kanpekina Button Boots

I always look forward to seeing what Japanese brand, Kanpekina, is up to at each Pitti event. This year I saw heavy tweeds as usual but with grained leather bottoms, which is not so common but very intriguing. And as you can see, apparently polka dots in pony hair is the next big thing in Japan. I am not too crazy about it myself but I am sure that there is a customer for it.

Unfortunately the only place that Kanpekina is available in the Western world is at Upper Shoes in France. Maybe one of you shoe shops will soon change that and buy them!

A good weekend to all.

  1. Interesting looks!! What would you say are the top local footwear brands in Japan? Im sure Nike, Clarks, Adidas, etc carry a large market share, but outside of them what are some big brands?
