I realize that early this week, I said that it was going to be a week about Spanish shoemakers, but I guess that I was only telling a half truth. And while I may not be a Spanish brand, I guess I can get off a little with the fact that at least my shoes are made in Spain!!
Well, the Button Boots have finally arrived (less 2 pairs that are delayed but in route) and are now ready for shipment for those that wish to purchase and get instant (kind of) gratification.
I have sent a few out already to pre-purchasers and noticed that my fears of the buttoning by hand were a bit exaggerated as people seem to think that even with hand it was easy. Fair enough. Also, I thought that they ran tight in comparison to other shoes so I left a warning about those with high insteps to be wary and maybe size up, but apparently some who took the risk anyway, have been fine getting them on and even feel they have a bit of space leftover. Who knew? I guess that means that I like to wear my shoes on the tight side as I remember cursing and breaking a sweat the first time that I attempted to fasten them. Oh well!
On another note, I have officially launched my J.FitzPatrick Footwear blog. Therefore, if you are interested in J.FitzPatrick Footwear you will now find more regular posts about our shoes at that site. I realized though that I am not crazy about the layout and will be making it like the TSS Blog. But at least you have a URL now to go to. And that is: http://blog.jfitzpatrickfootwear.com/
I have sold about half the stock already during the pre-sale so if you are interested in getting a pair and see that your size is there, don’t hesitate too long as they will go fast and I won’t have a re-stock until at least Jan/Feb.

A great weekend to all!
Sincerely,
Justin, “The Shoe Snob”
Beeing one of the lucky pre-owners and having high insteps I can only confirm the comments (hereabove) made by Justin on the size and fitting. Shipped and received in Geneva last week and after trying them on, I share this conclusion. CONGRATULATIONS Justin for the (intelligent) job done on the design of the boots 🙂
thanks my friend!!
Unfortunately, I don’t have the money right now to purchase these boots, but I’ll probably get the Navy ones for Christmas, along with your lovely burgundy Wedgwood boots. I guess it’s boots time for me ! ^^
One question : with the launching of your JFP footwear blog, does this mean the ShoeSnob blog will not feature any news about your brand anymore, or will we find the info on both blogs ?
Chris, sorry for the late reply. I will always use The Shoe Snob blog to give heads up about JF as the reach is 100 times greater here. I will try to do things on JF blog that i would not do on TSS, like show MTO’s or new samples etc…. fyi, just got restock in the blue ones but once they are gone, they won’t come back until next A/W ….
thank you! And yes, I wear mine with denim all of the time. That is the beauty of them, they can go anywhere from wearing with a suit to wearing with jeans.
