Dear Readers,
I am not sure if any of you have been experiencing problems viewing the blog or issues with slow processing times, but it would appear that I have been, which is not good as the blog’s author and moderator. So, you may notice that things will be changing such as putting the blog back to the way it was when I first launched it, now having to click “read more” to see a post in it’s entirety. I am sorry if this bothers those of you whom don’t like to click, but would rather scroll, but in the interest of making the blog’s load times a lot quicker, I need to leave it as this. Unfortunately switching form Blogger (owned by Google = no issues ever, but also more limiting features) to Wordpress (way more features to make site professional/accessible to plugins, but far more difficult to maintain) has created it’s own set of issues. Please know that I am working as hard and fast as I can to make the site as smooth and elegant as possible, so I hope that for any of you that might be experiencing the same issues that I am, can please bear with things as I try to sort it all out.
Thanks for your understanding and please enjoy these lovely Carmina models in the meantime as well as have a fantastic weekend!
Sincerely,
Justin, “The Shoe Snob”
I really like the longwings! Seeing the tags, I guess they’re cordovan, but how you actually recognise it? I’ve read somewhere that cordovan doesn’t wrinkle with wear, but “bubbles”, but what about brand new shoes?
Hope you solve the issues soon!
you can’t really tell in pics, not 100% at least….in person yes…it usually has a stiffer and shinier appearance…they certainly do wrinkle, and yes they can bubble too but that is usually due to rain/moisture… brand new shoes should be perfect, like all brand new shoes…
