The Rough Out Suede Belt by Crockett & Jones is the perfect addition to the trend towards casual leathers and boot models that we find so prevalent as of late. Also known as ‘Waxy Commander’, the Rough Out Suede leather is something you are starting to see more and more of in the shoe industry as boot styles go on the rise and casual work environments do too. Every major shoe brand in the welted shoe industry now offers this type of leather for a number of their models and getting the belt to match is an important addition to purchase.
This Winter has already seen snow around 3 or 4 times and I have been gravitating toward my Waxy Commander boots for those snowy days. And I needed a good, solid dress belt style to go with them. The belt I had been using was a thicker denim-style belt with a large buckle. Not so fitting for when I want to wear sleeker trousers. So, I treated myself to a nice Crockett & Jones rough out suede belt. They make one of my favorite belts in the industry. I wear the black and dark brown suede versions all of the time and they have held up great, so I knew that this would too and am eager to get it on!
As it goes, it actually snowed last night and I will naturally be wearing my waxy commander (rough out suede) chelsea boots to keep my feet dry and cozy as I traverse the lovely snow-laden streets today. So, while I don’t have pictures at this moment to show you my outfit, I will soon be putting this rough out suede belt to the test!
