My relationship with Tassel Loafers has been a rollercoaster ride. At first, I hated them. Then I loved them. Then I forgot about them. Now I love them again and want to find myself in them more often. It must be an age thing. But seeing these two striking pairs as of late, as well as one that I did MTO for a client of mine made me realize how much I actually do like them when done right. You see, there are the old man tassel loafers (think Cole Haan and Allen Edmonds) and there are the cool tassel loafers, i.e. what you see in this post, no matter the color. And the tassel loafer with a well-cut last, accompanied by a hand-stitched apron, is a hard shoe to beat. For me, these pictures prove it. Even if you don’t like tan (which I am not a huge lover of) it is hard to objectively not be attracted to these shoes
It’s weird to think that little dangly bits on your vamp would become something so timeless, yet here we are with a soon-found revival. Mark my words, I think that they will soon come back and fiercely. I, for sure, will reintroduce them back into my collection next Spring/Summer. Let’s see who follows suit!
Just a quick post today. Mondays are always manic for me. That’s why we call them Manic Mondays!
