Not too long ago The Armoury had a trunk show here in London with Saint Crispins as one of their attendees. As you know very well, I am quite a fan of them, so this gave me the perfect opportunity to make sure that my liking was not just in pictures, but also in person. Needless to say, they were very very nice in person and I was even more pleased when I tried this pair above on and felt how supportive and well made they were too. One of the nicest feelings for me is feeling true support. For too long did I wear un-supportive and ill-fitting shoes, and in this day and age, it is such a refreshing feeling to slip something on and know that you could be comfortable all day long in them. These gave me that feeling!
Also there, was the owner, Mr. Phillip Car, who was a very nice gentleman that definitely knew a thing or two about shoes, as one would think after creating a brand like Saint Crispins. I always enjoy meeting the creator of a brand/company, picking his/her brain, to see how they think, what they are like etc… It’s nice to see how people in the industry, of whom all make beautiful and well-made products, think in different ways when it comes to executing their art, their product. That being, it was truly a pleasure to a face/name/character to a product and I can say that to anyone who is able to afford a pair, it’s not money that is foolishly spent even though it’s enough to pay one of my month’s rent!!!
Anyway, I have one more thing to write about on Aubercy, but figured I would give it a one day rest and show you something different!
All the best,
Justin, “The Shoe Snob”

to give back to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s, SC was founded and developed by Michael Rollig, the shoes being made in Romania. And yes SC have lovely shoes
Claymoore – Thanks for that correction Mircea….I did think that someone else started it, but did not do my part to look further into it….
