CNES Shoemaker unveiled a lot of new models at last year’s New York Super Trunk Show. And many of them were extremely cool and some of them were quite different from their normal style. It was a good mix of dress shoes, hiking boots, and even more surprisingly the Americana-style workman’s boots that seem to be all the rage these days. Naturally, I was drawn to the new hand-welded models, as well as the hiking style.
My favorites of the bunch were: 1. The tan oxford with the interwoven stitching, 2. The grey lazyman brogue, and 3. The beautiful burgundy adelaide. And my prediction is that the lazyman is going to be the most popular of those and probably sell as fast as wildfire. The downside, is that while these shoes are all available for order, CNES Shoemaker has yet to make these new models available as ready-made stock options. I am hoping that will change soon though. I have asked for some dates, but have yet to get any real answers.
But they are all orderable. You just either have to visit them in Singapore or email them at [email protected] . I will be curious to see how the boots do for them. That sure is more catered to a non-local customer base as Singapore doesn’t get lower than 80 degrees Fahrenheit all year round. But the Americana-style workman’s boots are a huge industry in SE Asia, which I find very interesting. It is always fascinating to understand why certain ‘trends’ materialize in certain parts of the world.
CNES Shoemaker has been upping their game every year since I discovered them and I am always impressed to see what they come up with next. I presume the sneak peek of these at the show was what was coming for 2024. So, do stay tuned and in the meanwhile, order yours in advance!

No doubt CNES knocks it out of the park. The Black and Grey boots caught my eye. I just emailed CNES to inquire about them. 🙂

I have been emailing with them to figure out sizing. I haven’t ordered them…. YET

Sadly email communications have gorund to a halt. Hard to order when the shoemaker doesn’t reply. 🙁
Maybe they will show up on the website?
Justin FitzPatrick
I will get you a response. Keep me updated

Hey Justin,
I’ve been eyeing CNES since you first told us about them. They have some beautiful styles. I always learn something new from you. Keep well. Oh, how much for the duty fees, if you know?
Justin FitzPatrick
Hey William, happy to help! Duties in the US are free if the import is under $800 😉 But if you do pay duties I believe are 5% on welted shoes. Did you end up getting a pair?
Michael Bokor
Justin, They did reply and they are waiting for me to send them sketch/dimensitons of my feet. TY
