Allan Donnelly, owner of Don’s Footwear, gifted me this cool, little suede croc mini shoe for my NYC shop when he came to see me a few years back. It was a very kind gesture and fit right into the decoration of my shoe store. As the years went on, this shoe sat on my ‘coffee style table’ that customers would have in front of them when they tried on shoes. It is no exaggeration when I say that it was the most popular thing inside the shop. Especially with the girlfriends/wives of the customers. They all picked it up and admired it.
I thought to myself, ‘Man, if only I had a stock of these, I would be rich!’ All jokes aside, I wrote to Allen and told him about this indicating that he needed to make these a sellable item. I explained that it would make a great gift, coffee table decoration, office ornament, and the like. If he could keep the price relatively reasonable I bet it would be a big hit, as it proved to be in my shoe shop. So, Allen worked on making a stock of them and they are now available for purchase.
Like everything on his site, I imagine this is customizable in color/material etc. You see he shows a plain croc in green but my version is a reverse suede croc in green. If you fancy this cool little decorative mini croc desk shoe but in another combination, simply write up to Don’s Footwear and ask for your customization. I am sure Allan will be happy to oblige.
