LINEN SOCKS FOR SUMMER
It’s been a hot Summer, to say the least. And there are still plenty of hot days left. Today is scheduled to be 90 degrees and the forecast doesn’t show much of a slow down. So what do you do when it is this hot and you have to dress the part? Well, there are many options but when elegance cannot be overlooked, the most logical option for keeping your feet cool and your appearance tidy is a good collection of linen socks. And there is no other place that has a better selection than Mes Chuassettes Rouges. With 16 various colors on offer, there is literally something for everyone whether you like to keep it conservative or have a bit of fun with a splash of color.
I only recently got into linen socks and I tell you that they matter. They are super light feeling as you would expect from linen and are never restricting. Those little features matter when your skin is hot, it’s super humid out and you are sweating everywhere. The little things like a linen sock make a difference in keeping that discomfort to a minimum. My only gripe with them is that get a little ratty in the heel and are easily stained by your lining. But hey, not everything is perfect.
What I really like about the linen sock is the unique mottled look that it has. It’s never just a flat color. Due to it being linen the bunches of yarn that group together create dark specks/areas that give it some texture about it and make it more intriguing in my opinion. A plain cotton sock is more than that. It’s just plain. A plain linen sock has depth. You can see that in the featured image with the little darker specs of color. That beige color is more than just beige.
I grabbed a few of these colors this year but definitely want to add the rest to my collection as I know that the grey, purple and brown could definitely get some good use. What colors would you go for?
