I love and hate a nice sole. Love it because when done nicely (like this beaut here) they can be so beautiful. But then hate them at the same time as you then don’t want to wear the damn things! You fight yourself to put them on. Fortunately most RTW shoes don’t have the type of soles that make you second guess wearing them. But in bespoke, when the sky is the limit, you can make the sole look almost cooler than the upper bit. I would presume that while this shoe is no doubt an elegant black model of some sort, I would be willing to be that the main attraction is this sole. But like most things in life, all good things come to an end and that end for this shoe is the first time it gets worn. Oh well! There are worse things to worry about in life, like this damn rain in Spring!
On another note, thank all of your whom visited my new ecommerce site, J.FitzPatrick Footwear, and double thank you to those who made purchases. I do appreciate the support. For all of you that missed Friday’s post and have not been on the blog over the weekend please visit my new site for my footwear line (only should you be interested). You just might find something you like 😉
Happy Monday to all (I know you hate that, but better to enjoy the week as it goes by faster when you do!). See you tomorrow!
Justin, “The Shoe Snob”
Hi Justin, believe the blue sole shoes are a pair of Black Lizard oxfords by Clematis Ginza
Looks like, this guy http://the-shoe-aristocat.blogspot.com/2012/09/clematis-ginza-japanese-bespoke.html has that photo, as well as another in red.
