TLB Mallorca has been busy!
They just recently dropped 22 SKUs across 10 new models in their famous Artista line. And what they have dropped is quite interesting, to say the least.
More so than not, the collection is heavy in dark brown, burgundy, and surprisingly a lot of navy-colored shoes. Maybe the grapevine has told TLB that Navy is the new black as they released 5 new navy oxfords, which is impressive, to say the least! I like the initiative and am wondering if it will continue into more green shoes and two tones. Let’s see!
TLB remains an oxford-heavy company but truth be told, oxfords are probably the most sold style of shoe in the industry so they must be doing it for good reason. It is nice to see them venture into new designs. It would appear that some inspiration was derived from some customer MTOs turned production models, particularly the two G&G-inspired models that I know a few of their clients asked for as special MTO projects during their last MTO promotion. Let’s hope that this doesn’t cause any friction although I personally do not see them as competition in the slightest. At the end of the day, we are all inspired by something, and more often than not, it is other shoemakers that inspire us.
I am hoping that TLB will drop some new boots as well for the A/W season, as I imagine they shall. Let’s hope for some good two tones there!

We’ll said about the G&G comparison. At the end of the day, we just live shoes and my take is that G&G will be flattered, not angry. After all, the shoe community is largely a group of gentlemen.
Thank you Peter!
Hi Justin,
I have both the Diamond Cap shoe and the one that is similar to the G&G Grendon. I ordered each of them as part of the MTO program after seeing photos on your blog. They are great shoes and the service from Toni at TLB was excellent.
