The Shoe Snob on Sartorial Talks is a 3 part series that we recently recorded when I went to France for a week-long trip. Part of that trip was to see my good friends Hugo Jacomet and his lovely wife Sonya, in their beautiful house in the countryside and do some filming for Hugo’s amazing channel, Sartorial Talks. As you will hear in the video, Hugo and I have been friends for a long time and this feature was long overdue, so thankfully I had the opportunity to go and enjoy these sessions with my friend where we not only discuss my history and my shoe brand (J.FitzPatrick Footwear) but also the industry as a whole.
The first episode is really about the early days and how I got started with it all. The creation of ‘The Shoe Snob’ so to speak and what helped me arrive there. Thinking back on it, it was a crazy journey. A rollercoaster of obstacles. But one that I wouldn’t trade for the world. And Hugo does a great job at bringing it out and connecting all of the dots that helped me get to where I am today. A fun and quick listen for those who like to hear stories.
I am unsure of when these will be released but there are more episodes to come. Part 2 will be more about how I actually started J.FitzPatrick Footwear and that rollercoaster, while part 3 will be more for all of you and a sort of Q & A. As editing is a very laborious task, I expect each video to have a 3-4 week space between their release.
Thank you to all who have already watched The Shoe Snob on Sartorial Talks and left very nice comments and words of support. I very much appreciate it.
I invite you to subscribe to Hugo’s channel if you haven’t already where he and Sonya educate a lot on the industry and everyone involved. See mere here: https://www.youtube.com/@SARTORIALTALKS
